September 2012
(these reports are displayed as most recent first)
1st - 24th September
Weather has been cold and wet for much of this month, there was some good weather early on but it didnt hang around for long.
The fishing has slowed right down with the onset of Autumn, Peter has been busy trying the various venues around the area with some good bags, but even Peter has had to stop letting anyone know about his catches as people are netting most of the waters on a large scale. He did manage a cracking Perch over 2lb which was a lovely surprise on a small hook with 3 maggots on it.
We also got an email from an angler in Moyvore with a lovely Trout weighing in at 6lb+ but we never heard where he caught it from (many thanks for the photo though):

Down in Doonis we have recorded another rarity with two 13 spot ladybirds which are very scarce outside of a bog in Offaly, as well as a Nursary Web Spider dangling from one leg in a failed bid to escape the camera.
