September 08
(these reports are displayed as most recent first)
9th - 25th September
Th weather has gone from solid rain to brighter skies for a change.
Jim and Chris went on a brief trip down to Portumna for a bit of R & R and had a grand day out. There were Red Squirrels galore, plenty of Deer just starting their annual Rut, the typical range of mushrooms and toadstools and even a Pine Martin out in the middle of the day.

1st - 8th Septmeber
Hear we are now with September upon us, not too much change apart from the weather slightly brighter than what we've had last month.
Little in the way of Anglers apart from the Pike Boys out on the Lough Ree which are seeing a lack of Fish, just the odd (Jack Pike) The level of the lake is now at its highest ever seen at this time of the year, its more like the Winter level.
Doonis Lake has plenty of fish but it's Nye Impossible to get to the fishing spot, the canal is now well topped up with fresh water and the're having numerous Boating Rallies and an Armada of Weed Cutting machines so that's ruled the Canal out for a while.
So its away with the Tackle and Out with the Cameras now the migration will be starting soon.
