November 09
(these reports are displayed as most recent first)
10th - 23rd November
The Rain has arrived, according to the news in Biblical Proportions. The whole area has been submerged with torrential rain.
High winds have caused broken trees, and it is cold with it so we are all going into hibernation for a few months...
The River Inny has burst its banks and is totally unfishable, hope the pub opens its doors again soon :)

The River Suck burst its banks down in Ballinasloe with devastating effect, it poured through local houses and blocked the main road to Galway:

1st - 9th of November
The weather has turned cold, the days are shorter, the river is full of leaves but no fish at all. It is a typical start to november.
There have been some nice Trout taken out on Lough Ree from the boats as well as a good head of Pike taken on a variety of spinners and lures. The rivers are very high now and Lough Ree is starting to fill up rapidly now. It has been very wet from the begining of the month, with little signs of improvement.
On a lighter note, the birding is excellent at the moment with a large influx of Redwings and Fieldfares coming down to eat all of the berries from the trees, there have also been a good group of whooper swans making their way from North to South with some odd geese flying over as well. We would love to have put some photos up showing the wildlife but the rain has dampened the spirit too much to go outside at the moment, so we will stick to the spirits from the bottle.
We did however manage a brief trip over to Mallorca for some well earned R & R, there were Ospreys a plenty, as well as Booted Eagle, Stilt, Night Heron and a very nice Praying Mantis that happened to be climbing a tree.
