November 07

(these reports are displayed as most recent first)

This month saw the weather change for the better, with lots of warm and sunny days.

Very little to report on the fishing front, there have been no reports of what the fish are doing because nobody is out there fishing around here. Instead it has been a time of too much running around aand not enough rest by half.

An influx of Redwing and Fieldfare have arrived and are busy eating every berry in sight, the Golden Plovers have started arriving at their local haunts including Red Bridge and Saints Island, Lapwings have been coming back steadily and large flocks can now be seen flying and circling over the lowland fields and bogland. No sign of any Whooper or Berwick swans landing yet just the occasional family group flying over and honking loudly on their way south.

There was a local hunt which proved to be an enjoyable day out for spectators, for about the tenth year running there was no sign of anything even resembling a fox and we have no idea whether any of the dogs would even know what to do if they saw one, but the dogs enjoyed the run and the horses and riders generally had a great day out.
