November 05
(these reports are displayed as most recent first)
15th to 30th November
The second half of the month has been a lot colder and more rain heavy Frosts even Snow.
Even so, Peter has been still braving the conditions with regular visits to the River Inny which is still running high but clean. With some great catches of Hybrids at No1 swim and a great few hours at swim 32 (The Bog Hole) with some of the best fish of the winter falling to Feeder Tactics baited with Maggot/Worm.

Armed now with a Diggi Camera there's no excuses from Peter with pictures proving his exploits apart from calling on Chris's skills to transform them onto these pages.
There have been a number of Pike angles on the river with regular catches of good fish taken on dead baits (sink & draw method)
We are now moving into the Dark months and the forecasts are very poor, with Colder than usual days and nights and the coming winter to be much worse than the last 10 years. Lets hope their Wrong!!!
November 1 - 11th
With the weather in its autumn mode at this moment with plenty of Rain, Wind and the river rising things are not all doom and gloom.
Peter has been out catching the results of the fresh water running into the Inny putting on a good flow, tucked behind the Brolly and sporting a new winter supply of Thermals. Fishing at the mouth of the Inny in his swim he cut out a few weeks ago kicked off with outstanding results on his first outing with a catch of Hybrids, Roach, Rudd and Perch to the tune of around 60lbs. with Hybrids to 3lbs and Roach of over the 1lb mark.
Further trips led to yours truly braving the weather and joining Peter at his Hot-Spot, closely followed by Frank. Fishing on the Feeder, baited with Worms/Maggots casting to mid-water and allowing things to swing around and settle every cast fell to a waiting fish. Good sport was had by all with the top weights going to his Lordship as he is at it all the Time.
Further up the river things are rather slower with poor results with little to show for hours put in at various swims even "The Bog Hole" had nothing to declare.
On the 5th November the annual Pike Competition took Place on Lough Ree with some great prizes, this years winner was Mike Connaughton with a grand Pike of 22lbs, which won him a brand new Lake Boat.
On a visit to the Canal around Abbeyshrule, more for the bird watching side of things we were surprised at the amount of fish to been seen topping and large shoals of Roach/Rudd on the move, the rods were in the car!!...
