In Memory of Lizzy Murray
19 December 1947 - 23 August 2009

Lizzy Murray owner and landlady of Murray's Pub in Maghera passed away after a short illness.
Lizzy's Pub was internationally famous and had welcomed visitors from all over the world.
The pub had been in the Murray family for four generations.

The pub had been a haven for the many anglers who swarmed into it of an evening to celebrate another good days fishing. Famous for its Music on a Thursday and Sunday and the Friday night card session.
Lizzy was the most welcoming
publican but was well able to keep control of any situation although she was a shy person
she was also known to enjoy the craig that
Maghera offered.

There was no finer pint of Guiness pulled anywhere in Ireland !
She is very sadly missed by all the locals and visitors.
