(these reports are displayed as most recent first)
The weather has not been to kind to us here but there have been days when you had perfect conditions.
Alas, there was little or nothing to report in the early stages of the month, there were anglers around but unfortunately very few fish. The times spent on the river were very poor with a few fish taken early mornings and late evenings, fishing on the Canal was very patchy with the odd Tench showing up and a few smatterings of Roach and Perch.
This led to anglers having to travel to far off venues such as the lakes and ponds to the North of here (Strokestown, there were fish to be had but very few) (Gowna, just to add there where Bream taken here on the far shore) Latter part of the month fishing picked up on the Inny with reasonable catches being caught at Malady's even one Bream secured by Chris Martin (2.5lbs) with good size Roach and Hybrids to be had along with quite a few Skimmers.
Peter has traveled miles to find fish and only came up with one place of note (Dunamon Castle) on the River Suck, Lough Lee was fished with little results but there were Bream Topping at a distance on the lake but failed to get their heads down.
I myself and Chris had numerous outings fishing from the boat on the Inny only to be thwarted by the weather and the lack of enthusiasm, long trips out on the Lake proved to be waste of time and fuel (1small Jack Pike in 4 trips).
Reports are very scarce due to the lack of anglers, the one's that have been here are very reluctant to return unless there's an upturn in the fishing.
