Happy New Year !!

This is the beginning of a new year for the anglers and the wildlife around this part of Ireland and we hope to bring you all that we can in the way of reports and pictures.

This is my 60th year of Angling of which, 35 years fishing in Ireland and I've seen some changes.

Back to the present, after the Long Holiday, the Wet / windy conditions have left us with very high water and a different look to parts of the river and ponds. Having said that, Peter did not rest in his armchair, he was out most days that were possible, checking venues including Shannon Bridge, (Coreen Forde) Dunamon Bridge and his favourite at this time of the year Turnmonbarry. Finding this to be the most comfortable place to get to, and the fishing from the stages within the Marina can be very rewarding as his pictures show.

Chris has been out and about with his Camera to various places and has had good results from the wildlife.

Male Blackcap Red Squirrel

Treecreeper Fungus

Bullfinch Robin

My wildlife spotting has to be from my window over looking the fields slopping down to the River Inny.
