After several phone-calls from Ben Duncan regarding an unusual bird in the area we finally managed to track it down. A Little Egret has either been blown in or has followed the shannon up its course and has ended up going through the drains in Tang:

Mervyn has been busy flying across the fields spotting some early lambs:

Happy New Year to all of our readers

Another new year has arrived and we are hopeful that this year will see the return of the good fishing to our area. We have had word that fish are already being caught, various small roach and perch are being had along the Inny, with several good catches of Pike out on the Lough.
