Welcome to a new season on the River Inny and Local Venues
8th / 18th January.
Weather is still Grim we are now getting our fare share of Rain, Winds, Frosts and Sleet.
The river conditions are getting worse by the day so fishing is out of the question for now.
Peter and Frank had the odd fish in the second week of Jan. small Bream and Hybrids from the Bog Hole. Sadly thats flooded, so we are having to sit tight, and wait for better days.
1st / 7th January.
Rain has been the main threat to the fishing at the moment, with heavy showers and the temperatures ranging for 12c. to 4c. This of course is not ideal conditions, to say the least.
River levels are high and still rising, also carrying a great deal of debris.
Yet, Peter and Frank made the effort on two occasions fishing several swims at Tommy Foxes only to be rewarded with 1 Perch between them, not like Boxing Day 03.
Peter had popped down to the river below his cottage (Maladys) for a few hours on the 5th nothing showed up here!
Still its worth the effort, and then its a case of returning to Franks for tea and another fishing meeting.
