December 06
(these reports are displayed as most recent first)
Another Christmas is upon us so let me start by wishing each of our visitors a very Happy Christmas and a sucessful 2007.
As far as angling goes, there's very little at this time of the season, with the worst weather for many a year.
Water levels are the highest I've seen since I moved over especially for this month of December, with the winds above average strength and duration. Well, Peter has been trying very hard not to concede to all these elements, with several trips to the Inny without success in getting near the water in our favorite spots and at one stage even to drive to the river bank.

Peter is now suffering severely from "Gill Fever" and is going around muttering under his breath words that I find to be of Alien extraction or of an ancient Yorkshire Creed
Reports from around our patch have been very quiet, (none) all of Tom's boats have been drawn up along with my own for winter storage.
I've had the odd few hours out with the camera throughout the month when there's been a Lull in the storms to capture pictures of the Floods.

The Bog Hole or rather where it was . . . . . . . .

Frank managed a few minutes at
Malady's only to be overcome from giddiness due to the water
rushing by and
returned to my cottage for tea and a lie down.
What with all this going on around us, Lizzie's was the only place you'll find any relief, with a Pint and the old Stove packed with Turf.
A great Christmas and a New Years Bash ended the year on a high, (I think so!) hic!
